Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled tutor to join our team. The successful candidate will be teaching group and private tuition classes, be responsible for developing educational materials when needed and maintaining effective communication with parents regarding student progress. The tutor will cover subjects including Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Mathematics across various educational levels from primary school to junior college.

 

Job Description

 

Lesson Delivery:

  • Conduct group and one-on-one tutoring sessions for students at different educational levels, from primary school through junior college.
  • Deliver lessons in accordance with TSA’s teaching and curriculum standards to ensure consistency.
  • Utilize effective teaching strategies to cater to individual and group needs,  fostering a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
  • Assess and track student progress, adjusting instructional methods as necessary to improve academic performance.

 

Development of Lesson Material:

  • Develop, organize, and update educational materials such as lesson plans and worksheets when needed.
  • Record and edit pre-recorded lessons videos that align with the curriculum for the purpose of online and hybrid learning.

 

Communication with Parents/Students:

  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents regarding their child’s academic progress and development.
  • Provide regular updates on student progress and areas for improvement.
  • Address any concerns or questions in a timely and professional manner.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) required; advanced degree or teaching certification preferred.
  • Proven experience in developing educational materials and producing instructional videos.
  • Previous tutoring or teaching experience with a focus on group and private instruction is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs and maintain a supportive learning environment.

 

Working hours

  • 5 day work week (including both weekends)

 

Renumeration

  • Fixed pay for first year and commission based for subsequent years
